Quattro Foods committed to achieving Net Zero

Company Quattro Foods has been recognised by Greentech South for their commitment to Portsmouth achieving Net Zero.

Following a free energy survey, funded by EMphasis3, the company have upgraded their extraction units, reducing power by 50% and in turn reducing the required fuel consumption. EMphasis3 were also impressed with Quattro’s dedication by following this up with a grant from the LoCase scheme to further improve their environmental footprint.

Quattro Foods is one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers, creating and supplying food products for high street chains, restaurants, food service providers such as the NHS and United Nations.

EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions (EMphasis3) is an ERDF-funded SME support project, combining the expertise and experience of the University of Portsmouth – lead partner, the University of Winchester and the cleantech cluster, Greentech South.

Through EMphasis3, SMEs could access free energy efficiency surveys conducted by GEP Environmental, energy efficiency grants to support the installation of energy-saving devices, and R&D innovation grants to assist in the development and commercialization of low-carbon products.
