Gunwharf Quays sales up on last year

August 6, 2025

Data from owner Landsec, shows shopping sales at Gunwharf Quays rose 8.6% year-on-year during April – June this year, as shoppers flocked to new openings such as local business Full Send Racing Lounge and events including the British Street Food Awards.

The sunniest April – June in recorded history has encouraged shoppers to refresh their wardrobes and treat themselves to new summer apparel, as clothing sales rose 9.5% year-on-year. Food and beverage sales saw a 4.1% increase year-on-year and overall footfall rise by 9.4% as visitors’ guests prioritised the experience of shopping in-person.

Yvonne Clay, Centre Director at Gunwharf Quays, commented:

“We’re thrilled to see such a strong uplift in both footfall and sales at Gunwharf Quays. These results speak volumes about the continued appetite for experience-led, in-person shopping, and reinforce the vital role physical retail plays in today’s landscape. Destinations like Gunwharf Quays – where guests can enjoy outlet shopping alongside waterfront dining and seasonal events – offer something truly special to both consumers and brands. It’s this unique mix that keeps us outperforming and evolving, and we’re excited to build on this momentum.”

Building on the success of the past three months, Gunwharf Quays has recently welcomed the first ever outlet Oliver Bonas store to its line-up of lifestyle brands. The full range of Oliver Bonas product categories can be found in store at discounted prices, including fashion, homeware, jewellery, and novelty.

It comes as Landsec reports a strong quarter across its entire portfolio of prime retail destinations, with significant year-on-year increases in both sales and footfall and follows a record year for Landsec across its retail destinations.
