The Get Set Day, part of Portsmouth & South Coast Business Week, was an overwhelming success. Over 70 micro, start up and growth businesses visited us across two venues, the Victory Business Centre and Portsmouth Enterprise Centre.
Businesses were introduced to the two programmes running in the Solent and Portsmouth areas, GetSet Solent and Outset Start and Grow. Attendees heard from a team of finance, business and marketing advisors about access to both programme grants and were offered the opportunity to meet with advisors for 1:1 sessions.
Mark Chester from ToneChest attended Get Set Day. He said ” As a start-up business grows you realise the need to adjust and get outside help. Getting easy access to people: marketing, funding and business growth advisors, helps to make you understand that your business ideas can make sense and that you can do something good.
As a new business it is great to bounce ideas of people at events like this from the professionals on hand but also from the cohort of businesses in a similar situation.”
Portsmouth’s Enterprise Centres are planning to host another chance to meet up with the GetSet team at a future First Friday Networking event.
